HISTORY

Meliton Kukhianidze National Song and Dance Ensemble has been founded in 1921 and the first consert was held the same year in 11, June.

In 1961 to celebrate the 40 th Anniversary, Meliton Kukhianidze National Song and Dance Ensemble was awarded with the title of Honored Staff of Georgian Republic.

11, December, 2011 the Ensemble celebrated its 90th Anniversary.

The Ensemble has been in many countries of the world, participating in various charity or international folklore festivals.
